About
My piano journey
I've been playing piano for over 17 years. I hold a Grade 8 Piano Certification from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
Excelling at an early age, I began teaching private piano lessons in my home to kids at my local church when I was 12. From a few students each weekend to a waitlist, I taught all throughout high school and even hosted recitals.
As a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of California, Irvine and a student in a music production school, I’ve experienced a variety of teaching methods from both the student and instructor perspectives. I apply this knowledge to enhance my piano instruction, fostering strong connections with my students, personalizing lessons to fit individual needs, and creating a positive, engaging learning environment.
Teaching diverse subjects
In addition to piano, I have always been genuinely passionate about teaching. I've taught swim lessons, taught CPR classes to firefighters, provided academic tutoring, served as a caretaker, and planned Bible lessons at church while also playing the piano on the worship team.
Collaboration
I also deeply understand and emphasize the importance of effective communication with my students/students' parents, as it is essential for creating a shared commitment to their growth and development.
My commitment goes beyond just teaching piano; it's about creating a musical journey tailored to the unique needs, learning styles, and personalities of each student. By infusing my experiences, I ensure that every lesson is not just only instructive but also a delightful exploration.
My mission is clear - to foster a love for music while cultivating essential skills for each student’s piano journey. Whether your dream is of becoming a professional musician or is just starting musical exploration, my goal is to be your friendly guide, steering towards both joy and progress.
